Highlights of Alex's successful racing career include becoming the youngest skipper ever to win a round-the-world race and twice setting the world speed sailing record.

Alex Thomson’s sights are now firmly set on the infamous Vendée Globe – solo, non-stop, around the world. This race which starts 9th November 2008 has yet to be won by a Briton, but Alex intends to put that right!
